S.B. MIROSA More about MIROSA.

Her present owners bought her in 1976 and made a new base for her at Faversham. From here a comprehensive programme of restoration has been pursued. Now in immaculate condition, she will sail easily into the 21st Century and give future generations a glimpse of the vessels which plied our coastlines in the age of sail.

Down below she gleams with nostalgia and authenticity, from her panelled master cabin to her cosy saloon which was originally the forehold.

MIROSA
is probably the last Thames Sailing Barge earning her living under sail without the use of an auxiliary engine. She still has nostalgic red flax sails, largely manilla rope even a set of oars to cope with the occasional calm.
But she no longer carries cargo - her work revolves around carrying people who would like to step back and experience a piece of the last century. Could this be you?
