Restoration of the famous Thames Sailing Barge 'CAMBRIA'

HOW YOU CAN HELP - AND WHAT WE CAN OFFER IN RETURN
CASH DONATIONS

You have seen our programme estimate for re-building the barge over the next 3 years. The most direct form of help is that of straight cash donation. All donations of substance will be recorded in our Ships Log of supporters. Our Financial Advisor is available to help discuss those methods of cash donation which are most tax effective for your particular circumstances, including advice on covenanted gifts, company gifts, tax concessions and contributions from overseas.

DONATIONS IN KIND

Support for the project need not be in direct financial terms - it can be made by supplying timber, paint, preservatives, canvas, tools, etc.

TRAINING POSSIBILITIES

The CAMBRIA Project could also provide a useful training opportunity for companies and organisations covering such areas as project management and development, fund-raising, restoration supervision.
Local youth groups, including schools could be involved in the operation of the barge for educational purposes.

SPONSORSHIP

There are a number of ways in which your organisation could benefit from sponsorship, depending on the level of funding under discussion:-

Literature

The placing of a logo or an advertisement for your goods or services on all our literature.

'Association'

A reference to CAMBRIA, supported by 'x' organisation in all our regular press releases and other media contacts.

Signage

Even during her restoration, CAMBRIA will be viewed regularly by the public. The name of supporting organisations could appear on a board or banner on the side of the barge.

Sails

Ultimately, CAMBRIA will be re-rigged and fitted out with a new suit of sails totalling 5,000 square feet. She will sail the East Coast and other waters, and the sail area will provide a ready-made backdrop for advertising, particularly the topsail, which (in the right conditions) can be left set while moored alongside the quay.
