Barge Matches.

Each year there is a series of Barge Matches on the estuaries of the East Coast where once the sailing barges operated their trade. They are organised by separate Committees and Clubs under the coordination of the S.B.A., and points are awarded for each race to determine the Champion Barge for the year.
