STOLEN - Model Thames Sailing Barge

Stolen barge model A model of a Thames Sailing Barge plus accessories was taken from a car parked in South Avenue, Egham Surrey on the night of September 1st/2nd 1996.

The model is of wooden construction and is over 4 ft long - weighing over 30lbs - and based on the Barge Will Everard with a cabin/shelter at the stern and large gaff rigged mizzen sail.

The hull is red below the waterline and black above with yellow and white outlining on the bulwarks. The deck is light blue and hatch covers mid green.

The transom is light blue with an entwined ribbon in green outlined in red that would have contained the boat name if it had been completed.

The rigging for the tan/brown sails is incomplete.

The accessories are contained in a silver aluminium case of the type used for carrying photographic equipment, and comprise a Futaba Radio Control transmitter converted for use with the barge, spare servos, receiver, 12 volt gel cell with terminals for the water pump, and an assortment of jewellers screwdrivers, pin nose pliers and long handled scissors.
