Notes:
(i) In this book, Edgar March provides a lot of additional details of use to the barge modeller
     (a) A chapter on the construction of a sailing barge including dimensions and details of KATHLEEN, her standing and running rigging and fittings.
     (b) A chapter on "How to Make Miniature Models", including details of ways to construct many of the fittings of a barge, based on KATHLEEN, key to rigging plan of Ketch MARTINET and specifications for the timber and sails of KATHLEEN, particulars of coasting barge H.K.D.
(ii) Plans for the KATHLEEN taken from Edgar March's Drawings are available commercially from NEXUS.
(iii) Lines for GIRALDA were taken from the builder's half model. The half model was also used by Uffa Fox who produced similar lines in his book "The Best of Uffa" Adlard Coles Nautical, 1978 ISBN 0-7236-4987-9
