IFOS 2003
![]() |
This
model was built by Mike Seymour, using only hand tools and some beech
wood obtained from a psychiatrist's chair. The contruction follows that
of the full size craft with the use of a kettle rather than steam chest
to bend the planks for some of the curves. Note the removable hatch covers of the fore and main hatches, which covered the cargo. |
| The
frames of the hull are not readily visible as the hold is lined. There
is further detailed work inside the focs'l and skipper's cabin which can
be see y looking through the hatches leading to these areas. Unfortunately
these are difficult to photograph. This model was admired by a number of people interested in the authenticity of the construction. |
